Our master wood turner,
Nick Paznikov, was born in 1957 and has been wood turning for many
years. He has formal qualifications in wood turning and is a member
of the Woodturners Society of Queensland Inc. This society allows
more experienced turners from around Australia and the world to
share their knowledge and secrets.
Mostly
we turn out of local Brisbane wood as it is readily available. During
the cooler months we travel out west to Goondawindi and Surat to
find harder and rare woods. Sometimes we also buy woods which are
too far to travel and get.
We
enjoy doing different works, but can sometimes end up doing repetition
(e.g. table legs etc.) on request.
